Winding roads make driving fun. Foothill and valley views help you soak in the quiet. Yet the close proximity to I-15 puts you anywhere in San Diego or Riverside counties, in just a matter of minutes. If youre looking for your next San Diego home in an isolated hamlet featuring all of the above, you should look at Rainbow real estate.

Rainbow is an isolated hamlet just east of I-15 in far north San Diego County. An unincorporated village, Rainbow is situated between Temecula and Escondido, and adjacent to Fallbrook. This little mountain town prides itself on its rural atmosphere and terrific views, yet its just off I-15.

Rainbow homes were predominantly built in the 1960s through the 1980s. There are 760 homes in Rainbow, and most are single-family dwellings with a low density. A number of homes have wide-sweeping views of Temecula Valley, Pala Valley or Fallbrook.

Rainbow is 20 miles from either Oceanside or Escondido, and just outside of Fallbrook city limits. Children attend Fallbrook schools; Vallecitos Elementary is within walking distance, as is Rainbow Park. Older children attend Fallbrook High School, rated in the 60th percentile. Over $50 million in bonds were awarded to Fallbrook schools in recent years, allowing them to upgrade facilities and build a new performing arts center. The high school Madrigals are an award-winning singing group at the high school who have sung at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Rainbow residents are close to both Pechanga and Pala resorts and casinos, and do most of their shopping in either Fallbrook, Temecula or Escondido. Motorcyclists love Rainbows winding roads and foothill scenery.
