El Cajon Real EstateEl Cajon, located southeast of San Diego along the I-8, is a valley community in the San Diego foothills. Principally a rural community, it lies south of El Cajon and northeast of Spring Valley. El Cajon�s other neighborhoods include Fletcher Hills, Granite Hills, Dehesa, Bostonia, Crest, Grossmont, and others. Crest, Dehesa, Flinn Springs, and Harbison Canyon are mainly known for their small-town feel and horse properties. Planned communities such as Singing Hills Estates, Monarch Ridge, and Canyon View Estates offer new luxury ranch and spanish style homes, many with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Fletcher Hills has a large number of apartment complexes within close proximity to El Cajon�s business and shopping districts such as Grossmont Center. The downtown area recently received a National Main Street Certification and has also received that designation from California. El Cajon is a diverse business community that includes a downtown that bills itself as "East County's Cultural Zone," and recently received a National Main Street Certification. Parkway Plaza is a leading shopping area with over 200 stores and restaurants as well as a number of light manufacturing companies. The area�s schools are highly rated and El Cajon also offers two community colleges. |
